The Textar 260 DOT 4 /160 is a synthetic brake and clutch fluid based on borate ester technology, together with a comprehensive inhibitor package. DOT 4 fluids are widely used in Europe because of their greater resistance to boiling point decline in service and are recommended by most vehicle manufacturers.

This is Textar’s “mainstream” aftermarket brake fluid, and as such has wide applicability including cars, motorcycles and light trucks.

Textar products are tested to standards beyond what would be normal. For example, this product has a minimum dry and wet boiling point of 260°C and 160°C respectively, greatly exceeding the DOT 4 minimums of 230°C / 155°C. This amounts to extra user safety and potentially product life.

• Can be used in vehicles fitted with Electronic Stability Programs (ESP) in most European climates. (In very cold climates Textar DOT 4 LV is recommended)
• Hydraulic clutch systems

Storage and Handling:

This product is hygroscopic –it will absorb water from the atmosphere; always ensure containers are tightly closed. Not compatible with mineral oil or petroleum based materials; any contamination may cause serious damage to the brake system. Product will strip paint –avoid contact with paint of lacquer. Store in original container in a clean and dry location.
Product is of low toxicity but has an irritant effect on the eye. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Observe normal good hygiene practices when handling this product.
