Specifications & Performance:
U.S. FMVSS No. 116 Dot 4
Although this product mixes safely with other brake and clutch fluids conforming to the above specifications it is recommended that it is not mixed with other fluids or its outstanding performance may be compromised.
THIS RACING BRAKE FLUID REQUIRES FREQUENT SYSTEM FLUSHES AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STREET DRIVEN VEHICLES.
The Textar DOT4 Racing fluid has been specially formulated to provide outstanding performance under racing conditions or other situations where braking systems operate at very high temperatures. The outstandingly high boiling point provides the greatest protection against vapor lock (loss of brakes due to fluid vaporization).
The DOT 4 classification means that although this product is used at the highest levels of motorsports, it can also be used legally on American and Canadian roads -unlike many other brake fluids intended for racing use.
As one would expect from a major brake manufacturer, expertise gained from long experience of working with braking systems and vehicle manufacturers benefits our entire product range with products being tested to standards far above the normal.
When racing, for best results bleed the system with fresh fluid before each race, especially if the brakes are excessively hot and/or the conditions are humid.
